The Man Without a Face

This is a story that happened to me in December 2011. My friend lived with me at the time, and we would go for drives to 711 at midnight just for fun. 

This time, we took a detour into a rich neighborhood so we could finish smoking before we got there.

This road was shaped like an L but with a mini cul-de-sac attached where the two lines intersect. I was slowly driving down the road towards said cul-de-sac when we noticed a man standing under the street light. 

This was immediately weird because: A. It was midnight, B. It was a freezing cold winter night, and C. He was standing completely still wearing shorts and a t shirt. 

We slowly came closer and started to get a better look. There was literally no facial features to make out. Just skin color. 

I thought this was due to my own vision impairment and asked, “Um, does he have a face?” My friend said no. 

We got closer and closer until I had to make the turn, and as soon as I turned the car away from him, my friend whipped around and looked out the back window. 

The man was nowhere to be seen. I have been back a few times to show people but I never saw him again. Everyone who has seen the layout agrees that there truly is nowhere for someone to dive out of view and vanish so suddenly.

A Ghost in the White House

This photo was taken during remodeling of white house around 1950 by National Parks Service photographer Abbie Rowe and can be found in David McCullough's book Truman. In the background is clearly visible a dark shadow figure of a man. 

After the death of his 11 year old son Willie, President Abraham Lincoln became withdrawn and fearful of his own demise. 

He turn into the supernatural hoping to get in touch with Willie. 

Even though his presidency ended with his assassination in 1865, the claim is that Lincoln’s spirit never left the White House. 

Several presidents and their guests have “witnessed” his apparition in the Lincoln bedroom. It is also said he likes to roam the second floor hallway and knock on bedroom doors.

Even President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle report hearing strange noises in the wee hours of the night, but after investigating finding no one in sight.

Don't Play Ouija

I am in my late 30s and now living in Massachusetts where I grew up. I was a middle child of five in a very close family. When we were really young, my two younger sisters and I were always fascinated with the unknown. We would look in the obituaries in the newspaper to see who had recently passed away and we would have séances in our garage with some other local neighborhood kids. Usually nothing would happen, but a couple of times some weird things happened that we just could not explain. When my sisters and I were in high school, we learned about Ouija boards. We bought one and began to play with it. Two of us would get on it and the other would write everything down. At first it was fun. We talked to several different spirits that told us where they were from and about their families, etc. This went on for weeks, then gradually things started getting a little scary. Eventually, every time we got on the board, the same spirit would come on, who was not very nice. He told us he was the devil and he was going to get us somehow. He called him self "Zozo." When a friend of ours confronted our priest about this name, he got very angry and told us we should not be playing with Ouija boards; they were not toys and we could get into trouble. He gave his Sunday sermon on the subject. Needless to say, we stopped playing with it. Then, while still in high school, one of my sister's best friends lost her sister in a van accident. She and her sister were very close. She knew of our adventures with our Ouija board and begged my sister to let her come over and use it to talk to her deceased sister. Hesitantly, my sister sat down with her and contacted her sister with the board. Her friend bawled and told her sister how much she loved her and missed her. She didn't want to live anymore without her and wished she could be with her. About two weeks later, my sister's friend died... in a van accident - exactly the way that her sister had died. My sister took the Ouija board and put it out with the trash, and none of us has touched one since.

Ghost Lady of Worstead Church

In 1975, Diane and Peter Berthelot along with their 12-year-old son visited the Worstead Church in north Norfolk, U.K. Peter took a photo of his wife sitting and praying on one of the church benches, and when they reviewed the developed photos some months later, a friend of Mrs. Berthelot asked: Who is that sitting behind you, Di? The figure in the photo with Mrs. Berthelot appears to be wearing light-colored, old-fashioned clothes and a bonnet.

Strange Mist Captured in Stanley Palace

Sefton Paranormal Investigators were ghost hunting in Stanley Palace on June 28, 2014 when they captured what appears to be ghostly evidence. The investigation's footage reportedly shows the image of a person standing on a staircase inside the 16th century Tudor building, the Southport Visiter reported.
