This video footage of supposed paranormal activity in a Townsville building has surfaced on YouTube, sparking debate among sceptics and ghost-hunters alike. The man behind the camera, who doesn't want to reveal his identity or the location of the haunted site, has posted numerous short films from his iPhone and a hand-held camera and insists something sinister lurks in the building's basement. The first part of his video showed a bucket rolling and being tossed around the floor of the building while other showed boxes being flipped around the room; a mop swinging violently out towards the camera; tin cans being launched at the roof; light fittings falling out and smashing and even heavy objects like guttering and resting beams being moved or pushed. The cameraman said there was something unusual going on that day.''I check it and go through it the next day.''Sometimes things have happened, other nights there's nothing.'' he said.

Poltergeist is still one of the best ghost stories ever made.This is an American horror film, directed by Tobe Hooper, produced by Steven Spielberg, and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on June 4, 1982. It is the first and most successful of the Poltergeist film trilogy, and was nominated for three Academy Awards.

Story: The movie begins with a normal middle class suburban family enjoying their new home in a typical community. Everything is going splendidly for them until the youngest daughter, an adorable little blond girl Carol Anne who is around the age of 5, goes up to the static filled television and places both hands on it before announcing one of the most memorable movie lines ever, “They’re here!” From that point on the house begins to go from eerie to downright full on psychotic. All begins with some strange and amusing poltergeist activity and when Carol Anne disappears.A team of paranormal investigators is called in, but it's a task none of them are quite prepared for.
Creepiest scene: A psychic, describing the circumstances of the missing little girl, informs her parents that there are many arms about her, including those of an evil presence... "to her it is just another child, but to us it is... the beast."
